Melting Wax
Candles we are
Lit the day we're born
Burning and shining
Until our last morn
Melting wax
Peaceful through all
Painful dripping
Our calmed downfall
About the Poem:
This was written to compare the life of a person to that of a candle that slowly melts away until there is no more wax left to burn. Candles are calm and peaceful, burn bright and are a means of light, which is a symbol of hope. But, just like every candle has a final day to burn, we have a final day to breathe.
