Undergraduate Projects

These projects were completed during my time at Troy University as an undergraduate student majoring in Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management and minoring in Event Management. Only a few have been selected to be displayed here.

Royal Peach Hotel

Royal Peach Hotel

In this project, we preform a feasibility study on how realistic it would be to open a private hotel in Clanton, Alabama. We outline our policy's and procedures, necessary risk management plan, salary and staff expectancy, customer rates, and much more. The goal of the project is displayed at the end when we provide a detailed sales pitch to a private investor, the reader. You can view the entire document by clicking the PDF button above this text. We received an A on this project and came to the final conclusion that this property would be feasible. The rights to this data and paper belong to the four authors and Troy University.

Rocket City Pride

Rocket City Pride

This document is an event plan for an LGBTQ+ Pride event to be held in Huntsville, Alabama. This was done independently as a class project and had nothing to do with the Huntsville's ACTUAL Pride celebration. You can view the entire document by clicking the PDF button above this text. Throwbacks Bar

Throwbacks Bar

In this project, we outline our business plan for opening a new bar in Daytona Beach, Florida. The theme of this bar, as the name suggests, is 'throwbacks' based on popular TV shows and movies from the early 2000s. We provide a basic SWOT analysis and explain our rules, regulations, location, competition, and marketing plan. You can view the entire document by clicking the PDF button above this text. Small Town Squalor: Opportunities for Enhancement

Small Town Squalor: Opportunities for Enhancement

This is a photo essay that compares small, Alabama towns lacking in tourism with squalors and slums across the world. It also focuses in on what these areas do/could do to bring in more tourism. It displays photos within walking distance of the center of The Square, or the Downtown Troy area, showing the poor conditions. It also describes slum tourism and discusses how it can be negative or used as a positive. You can view the entire document by clicking the PDF button above this text. Camp Shoals

Camp Shoals

In this project, we preform a feasibility study on how realistic it would be to open an outdoor recreation facility in Florence, Alabama. We analyze our needs, expected costs, and expected revenue. We also detail a schedule of operation and necessary staff. The goal of the project is displayed at the end when we use a sales pitch to ask the reader for a loan. You can view the entire document by clicking the PDF button above this text. The rights to this data and paper belong to the three authors and Troy University.

The Role of Summer Camp on a Child’s View of Inclusiveness

The Role of Summer Camp on a Child’s View of Inclusiveness

This study is using qualitative and observational techniques to gauge how children from kindergarten to 8th grade seem to feel included with their peers while at summer camp. This research paper was not required to be finished, so the research itself was never recorded but all the steps leading up to set-up the study are here. You can view the entire document by clicking the PDF button above this text. The rights to this data and paper belong to the two authors and Troy University.
